What You Will Get:

I wish to use this platform as a way of publishing a contrarian’s view on current events. Not arguments of certainty, but rather documenting the way a young man views the world and observing how these views change over time as said young man reads more, learns more, and lives more.

It is my sincerest hope that these ideas provide a platform for thoughtful contemplation and expansion of one's worldview. I hope the ideas written here from heart and mind to electronic paper will be of some utility to others and to my country in the midst of crisis and uncertainty.


About the Author:

Ryan James Solis is a Junior at Harvard College—leave of absence 2020-2021— studying History and Economics under the Gates, Coca-Cola, and Jack Kent Cooke Scholarships.

At the age of 17, he became the youngest-ever member of the Board of Directors of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce and later became a national vice president of the Future Business Leaders of America.

Always having a passion for debate, logic, and persuasion, Ryan is an All-American Orator and 4x national debate qualifier. He has been awarded the National Hispanic Heritage Foundation Youth Award in Community Service, the ACTE National Outstanding Business Student, and the McDonald’s Hispanos Triunfadores Emerging Leader Award.
